What if they held an awards show and nobody came?

Hard to feel sorry for Hollywood, Inc. for the diminution of the Golden Globes. Reduced by the ongoing Writers Guild strike to a half-hour press event bereft of glittering gowns, free-range décolletage, and attractive people, the Globes are now indistinguishable from the National Book Awards. I didn’t even know the awards were slated for Sunday night until Monday morning.

Can hardly wait to see what happens with the Oscars.
