Things to do this weekend

• Go see Pirates 2 for a second time, maybe, and in doing so flip the bird to baffled, snotty movie critics.

• Watch that DVD from season four of The Shield that came a couple of days ago. Don’t have satellite or cable, so have been enjoying the series the Netflix way.
• Re-read some short fiction: Tobias Wolff or Charles Dickinson or Maxine Chernoff or Ron Carlson.
• Do some non-blog writing.
• Grill salmon, weather permitting. Also steak, which we now try to eat just once a week.
• Mow the back yard, weather permitting.
• Stay well the fuck away from the news.
