I’m going to have to put The Washington Note back on the blogroll. Steve Clemons’s blog is providing excellent commentary on the Bolton hearings (and has been all over Bolton for some time, states Robert Silvey in his own piece on the controversial nominee).
Bolton is getting justifiably rough treatment (mostly consisting of having his own words handed back to him) from Democratic critics on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. It may not be enough to keep the nomination from getting out of committee, but at least it’s on the record.

I’m at work and didn’t start streaming the Bolton hearings from CSPAN’s website until around 11:30, after Biden dissed him and Boxer showed the video of the infamous 1994 speech. Totally kicking myself for missing those.
I missed both Biden and Boxer myself and had to read about it secondhand at Kos. Boxer showing the video after Bolton claimed his statements had been taken out of context - priceless. Now that’s entertainment!
I wonder if Missouri could trade Bond and Talent for Boxer.
Well, I did get to hear Dodd and Biden tag-teaming him a little while ago, and now Kerry is working him over now. It’s quite entertaining.
Boxer for Missouri 2006!
I envy you. C-SPAN video isn’t working for me; RealPlayer is fubar’d.
