Rice to Iraqis: Stop enjoying politics so much

U.S. Secretary of State Dr. Condoleeza Rice, September 13, 2005:

I think that the most interesting thing to me about Iraq is that politics has broken out in Iraq in a really major way. And the Iraqis seem to enjoy politics.

She’d rather than they not enjoy politics quite so much now.

CBS News, October 5, 2006:

“They don’t have time for endless debate of these issues,” Rice said during a news conference aboard her plane. “They have really got to move forward. That is one of the messages that I’ll take, but it will also be a message of support and what can we do to help.”

Yes, that’ll help. Because they’ve really listened to her in the past.
