Republican robocalls

Our Missouri-based household is feeling the love from the GOP presidential candidates in the homestretch to Super Tuesday. Three robocalls on Friday, three on Saturday, and two today. The breakdown, if I recall correctly, is four for Mitt Romney, three for John McCain, and one for Ron Paul (!).

The amusing thing is that these robotic efforts are all wasted, as ours is about as far from bring a Republican household as you could hope to find. I suspect that mistaken identity lies behind this; my wife M shares the same name as a fairly affluent Gatewayland resident who is definitely on GOP mailing lists. We’ve even received “personally signed” photos of the Decider himself (along with appeals for donations to the party), obviously intended for the “other” M.
