Progess report on things unseen

Things have been pretty quiet at Waveflux prior to today, a result of something other than the usual bone-deep laziness of the author. A revamp of the weblog is underway which will result - one hopes - in a detectable upgrade in both visual style and narrative substance. Just thinking about the project is dizzying and excitement-making. Would that I could tell you about it - or better yet, just throw up the templates now to astound a reeling universe.

But I can’t just throw up the templates, because they aren’t yet completed. And while I could simply describe the coming changes to you, you’d either 1) sneer at me for being a big tease, or 2) scoff at me for being a deluded dreamer. Hmp. Better to bypass both possibilities and just keep working.

It’s enough, perhaps, to reveal that the prospective main page is a good ninety percent functional. The next major hurdle is deciding what goes into the page for an individual entry. Once that’s complete, other elements should fall more or less readily into place. I think.

Totally unrelated note: It took Google nine minutes (!) to index this post. Good googly moogly. That’s so fast, it’s a little scary. Things have obviously changed.
