Baxter, appealing

Waveflux has never been very good at the whole Friday catblogging thing. The end of the week comes and goes and I forget to upload a pic of one of the four felines currently in residence. They have complained about my inattention, and I have resolved to do a better job of documenting them in future.

M has helped out by taking this cell phone pic of our star tuxedo cat.

Baxter with Puss in Boots eyes

As you can see, Baxter has seen the Shrek movies and has throughly mastered the piteous Puss in Boots look. Awww!

  1. Aww! And look at that not-at-all-pissed-off-looking new photo of you!

I have to figure out how you’re archiving these things…

  2. It takes a really good photographer, or the devil’s own luck, or many, many attempts, to snap a decent pic of me. Always has. I’m not being self-deprecating…it’s just that my facial muscles do sudden and unpredictable things just before the shutter clicks. Or something like that.

Archiving has certainly changed with the move to the new WordPress hotness; I hope to make it a bit more accessible. The “departments” can be found easily through the drop-down menu (as you’ve already found). All the older entries (pre-WP) need to get tagged (rather than categorized) and a tag list or something needs to be made available. Note how I listed those tasks in a passive voice, as if they’ll just happen by themselves. :-D

  4. Yes, I figured out the archiving, because I am curious. I have a curious nature. I am curious by nature. (None of that sounds too good for me.)

My daughter always smirks in photos; she never smirks otherwise. She too has facial muscles with an instinctual reaction to a camera lens.

Clearly you must be stealthily photographed, as must she. In this photo, however, you look as if you might be on the verge of a smile.
