Back to it

I hesitate to write this for fear of jinxing myself something fierce, but I think my month-long bout of “stomach flu” (not really a flu, as you likely know) seems to have passed. Goddamn, but that was unpleasant. Stay away from it if you can. I am grateful to M - and, in their odd way, the five cats in the household - for taking care of me. I am also grateful to to the audient void that M didn’t catch my rather contagious illness. She credits her “crazy immune system.”

I was talking last night with my brother, the guy with diabetes and without vision, two good legs, or working kidneys. It embarrasses me to discuss with him my transient illness - given his situation - but Greg always shrugs off such comparisons. Nice of him.

Well. I feel as though I’ve missed a lot. Better get back to it.

  1. I miss Greg’s voice in your blog. He didn’t have to sign his name for me to know who he was — he was always using bold to emphasize his point, which was always a good one.

    I hope he’s doing well.

And I hope you are over and done with your bugs and we can keep you out of sick bay permanently.

  2. Yes, Greg loves Teh Bold. Made me wince sometimes, but that’s just the way he is. :-D

He’s okay. In the market for a kidney. Very happy that “Iron Man” is doing well at the box office - that was one of his favorite Marvel comics.
