Apple v. Apple, and the winner is…Apple

Apple Computer gets to keep using its famous fruit logo, and Apple Corps - keepers of the kingdom of the Beatles - loses what must rank as one of the silliest lawsuits in history. Not that anyone should care overmuch, but this legal struggle did give us a wonderful rhetorical riposte that will echo down the long corridors of time:

[Apple Computer lawyer Anthony] Grabiner said “even a moron in a hurry” could distinguish between the computer company’s online music business and a record label like Apple Corps.

Feel free to use that line at the earliest opportunity.
