The situation began as an internal rebellion in the, er, South, then was compounded by a naval nasal blockade and related hostilities in the far North. Countermeasures were enacted, but not in time to prevent a general strike today.
It is hoped that tomorrow will see a resolution to the situation. Otherwise, we’ll have to go nuclear. And as we learned back in 1983, nobody wins that kind of contest.
