Minor blogkeeping notes

Not that you asked, but:

1. Down to something over thirteen hundred dead links (from something over eighteen hundred). So, progress.
2. Bettie is taking a vacation from her usual position in the top left corner of the blog while I work up a remedy for the logo obscuring her on monitors with low resolutions.
3. Currently ad-less and will likely stay that way for a while. Not much of an issue as they weren’t bringing in actual revenue, but the real current reason I removed them is that they offend my graphic sensibilities, such as they are. Deep down inside I’ve always been somewhat uncomfortable about having varieties of tin cups on the site; kind of silly, but there it is.
