According to the guidelines laid down at the 2006 Reykjavík Blogger Ethics Conference, I must issue a nearly total rescission of my announced intention to skip the Super Bowl this year. As it turned out, my reversal was based on an act of charity: two close friends of ours who do not own a television asked to come over and watch the game.
And good thing, too, because otherwise I should have missed what amounted to the best Super Bowl - i.e., a damned good football game - that I’ve ever seen. Congrats to Eli, Coughlin, and the G-Men.
Too bad for you, Tiki.
Bonus: Tom Petty was surprisingly lifelike, too.
Note: I cannot believe how Eli evaded what should have been a sure sack and made the pass to Tyree (and that catch!). That will go down in football history. Actually, I think it already has.
